Special Issue Introduction

Piezoelectric and electrostatic soft robotics represent a cutting-edge domain that spans a multitude of applications within various sectors and scientific inquiries, including search and rescue missions, environmental surveillance, healthcare and rehabilitation, among others. The exploration of these robotics draws on multiple disciplines, ranging from materials science to physics, mechanics, mechanical engineering, and control theory.

This Special Issue is dedicated to highlighting the latest advancements in manufacturing methodologies, control strategies, and practical applications of piezoelectric and electrostatic soft robotics. It seeks to attract contributions from both academic and industrial experts, aiming to refine current understanding and introduce groundbreaking concepts that will shape future developments and technological innovations. We invite authors to submit original research papers and comprehensive reviews on topics pertinent to this Special Issue.
