Topic: Probiotics, Prebiotics, Gut Microbiota and Health

The International Probiotic Conference (IPC) was held early this summer in Prague, featuring three days packed with science on probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics, postbiotics, other "biotics", and the microbiota. In this Special Issue of Microbiome Research Reports, we aim to provide a more in-depth exploration of select topics presented and discussed at the conference. This issue will include both original scientific work and systematic and narrative reviews outlining new ideas in these fields.

We will consider contributions related to the health benefits for both humans and animals, mechanisms of action, production processes, product development, and regulatory matters, among others.

Participants from IPC2024 will be encouraged by the Guest Editors to submit their work to this Special Issue. Additionally, selected non-participants will be invited to contribute.

All submitted manuscripts will undergo independent peer review according to the standards of Microbiome Research Reports.
