Special Issue Introduction
Gastric cancer remains a significant global health concern, particularly due to its high mortality rates and limited treatment options. However, recent advances in immunotherapy have offered new hope for patients grappling with this devastating disease. This Special Issue endeavors to explore the latest developments in gastric cancer immunotherapy, highlighting novel therapeutic approaches, emerging biomarkers, and promising clinical outcomes.
The Special Issue invites original research articles, reviews, and clinical studies focusing on various aspects of gastric cancer immunotherapy. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
1. Immunotherapeutic agents targeting gastric cancer cells, such as immune checkpoint inhibitors, chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy, and cancer vaccines;
2. Mechanisms underlying immune evasion and resistance to immunotherapy in gastric cancer;
3. Biomarkers predictive of response to immunotherapy and patient stratification for personalized treatment approaches;
4. Combination strategies integrating immunotherapy with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, or other modalities;
5. Preclinical models and translational studies investigating novel immunotherapeutic interventions;
6. Immunotherapy-related toxicities and management strategies in gastric cancer patients;
7. Clinical trials evaluating the efficacy and safety of immunotherapy regimens in gastric cancer treatment;
etc.
