Special Issue Introduction
Advanced materials joining and additive manufacturing play an important role in energy saving and emission reduction. Therefore, the continuous development of new material joining and additive manufacturing techniques aimed at improving manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and energy efficiency remains an eternal pursuit for researchers in the field of materials joining and additive manufacturing. Recently, many significant advances have been made by our colleagues in the realm of material joining and additive manufacturing. It is now imperative to summarize these innovative techniques and emerging mechanisms to further promote energy conservation and emission reduction in the manufacturing industry. This Special Issue focuses on, but is not limited to, the following topics while also welcoming original research articles and comments to contribute to the development of the field:
Eight to ten Key topics of the Special Issue:
● Advanced fusion welding technologies;
● Solid-state welding technologies;
● Additive manufacturing based on advanced welding and joining technologies;
● Numerical simulation of welding processes;
● Novel hybrid welding processes;
● Sensing and control of welding and joining technologies;
● Cold spraying additive manufacturing;
● External field-assisted welding processes;
● Novel additive manufacturing technologies.
