Special Issue Introduction

The 2nd International Conference on "Green Solutions and Emerging Technologies for Sustainability (GSETS 2025)" is being held amidst a global focus on addressing challenges related to sustainable development based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Within this context, Emerging Technologies and Energy Materials contribute an important solution to meet the SDGs. The thematic issue on Energy Materials is to collect high-quality manuscripts from GSETS2025, showcasing recent advancements in novel materials, renewable energy, and their promising applications in both environment and energy fields.

Topics: The scope of this special issue covers, but is not limited to, the following topics:
- Advanced functional materials;
- CO2 storage and capture;
- CO2 reduction and conversion to valuable fuels;
- Energy conversion materials;
- Renewable energy;
- New materials and solutions for environmental pollution control;
- Emerging technologies for energy towards air and wastewater pollution treatment.
