Special Issue Introduction

Functional coordination polymers, including metal-organic frameworks, porous coordination polymers, metal-organic materials, etc., are characterized by their tunable structures, high porosity, and multifunctionality. Over the past two decades, these materials have evolved significantly, making them ideal for diverse applications such as gas storage, catalysis, sensing, and drug delivery. This Special Issue highlights the latest progress and pioneering research in functional coordination polymer materials, showcasing recent advancements in their design, synthesis, and applications. We invite submissions of Research Papers, Reviews, Perspectives, Mini Reviews, and other contributions that provide comprehensive insights into this rapidly developing field.

Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to:
1. Advanced and sustainable synthetic strategies for functional coordination polymers;
2. Structural and multifunctional design of porous coordination polymers;
3. Developments in gas storage/separation, catalysis and biomedicine applications, etc.

Keywords

Metal-organic frameworks, coordination polymers, design and synthesis, gas storage and separation, catalysis
