Prof. Simone Ferrero

Prof. Simone Ferrero is an Associate Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Genoa, Italy. He obtained his degree in Medicine in 1999 and completed his specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2004. He furthered his education with diplomas in Gynaecological Operative Endoscopy and Laparoscopic Surgery from prestigious French universities. In 2009, he earned his Ph.D. at the Queen Mary University of London, focusing on the proteomic analysis of peritoneal fluid in women with endometriosis.

With over 500 peer-reviewed articles published, Prof. Ferrero is a leading expert in endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and gynecological oncology. He has presented extensively at national and international conferences and has authored two influential books: Uterine Fibroids: Epidemiology, Symptoms and Management and Endometrial Cancer: Risk Factors, Management and Prognosis. His research includes both clinical and basic studies on endometriosis and ovarian cancer. Prof. Ferrero also serves as Vice Chair of the Fibroids Special Interest Group of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
