Prof. Giuseppe Biondi Zoccai
Leading Expert in Cardiology and Biostatistics
Prof. Zoccai, born on July 25, 1974, in San Remo, Italy, is an Associate Professor of Cardiology at Sapienza University of Rome, Latina, Italy. He graduated magna cum laude in Medicine from the University of Milan in 1999 and obtained his Cardiology diploma magna cum laude from the Catholic University in Rome in 2004. Prof. Zoccai completed his Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at St. Raffaele University Hospital in Milan in 2004-2005.
With over 950 PubMed-indexed articles and more than 47,000 citations, along with an h-index of 107 in Google Scholar, Prof. Zoccai is recognized as one of Italy's top biomedical scientists. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the international biomedical journal Minerva Cardiology and Angiology and is a member of the Editorial Boards of several prestigious journals.
His research interests include advanced biostatistical methods, evidence-based medicine in cardiology, coronary stents, structural heart disease, inflammation in heart disease, and the impact of tobacco-related risk products.
Prof. Zoccai has also edited numerous academic textbooks on topics ranging from network meta-analyses to cardiovascular imaging and transcatheter aortic valve implantation. His continued contributions to the field of cardiology and medical research have had a significant global impact.
