About: As a distinguished academic organization, the Asia Pacific Alliance for Obesity and Sarcopenia Metabolism (APAOSM) is dedicated to advancing research, education, and awareness of obesity, sarcopenia, and metabolic disorders within the Asian population.

Open Source Research

About: OpenSourceResearch is an international group of researchers that aims to implement information technologies and artificial intelligence in clinical research through multidisciplinary teams. Multidisciplinary team approach in clinical research will improve design, conduction and implementation of research in addition to increase data use/re-use.
OpenSourceResearch’s mission is spreading the research culture in an inclusive way by supporting researchers from low and middle income countries (LMICs) to develop their research skills thus to reduce the expanding gap between developed and developing countries.

The 12th Frankfurter Meeting

About: In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 12th Frankfurter Meeting will once again hold in a hybrid way in November 2021. Building on the tremendous success of past meetings, this year’s meeting expects a most exciting and informative event again. Our esteemed friend and colleague, Prof. Arya M. Sharma, is invited to join and co-chair the organizing committee this year. The meeting will share and discuss the latest research and approaches to managing obesity as a serious and complex chronic disease.

Innovating through backlogs: The NHS Future of Surgery Conference

About: Surgical innovation has an essential role in surgical practice. Over the last 50 years in particular, innovations have improved patient outcomes, reduced complication rates and length of hospital stay, all while decreasing morbidity and mortality. Of course, this carries risks without proper evaluation, governance and training. We are in truly exciting times for NHS innovation, the recent pandemic has provided the perfect catalyst for innovation scale-up, and surgery departments are not missing out on the party. Our upcoming Innovating through backlogs: The NHS Future of Surgery Conference will provide a platform for NHS based surgeons to listen and learn about new policy and best practice while networking and sharing insights with NHS based and international peers.
