A Warm Welcome to Prof. Lianxin Liu as the Regional Editor of Mini-invasive Surgery

The Editorial Office is honored to announce that Professor Lianxin Liu, Vice President of the University of Science and Technology of China and a Distinguished Professor under the Changjiang Scholars Program, has joined Mini-invasive Surgery (MIS) as a Regional Editor.

Professor Liu has made outstanding contributions to minimally invasive surgery and related medical fields, dedicating himself to research innovation and the advancement of medical education. He is a driving force behind interdisciplinary collaboration and the translation of research into clinical practice, playing a vital role in advancing medical science and technology.

His inclusion as Regional Editor will bring valuable perspectives and academic resources to MIS, elevating the journal’s academic quality and fostering the continued development of minimally invasive surgery. Research Focus and Clinical Expertise:

Professor Liu specializes in liver and oncological surgery, having performed numerous complex and challenging liver surgeries. He was the first in the world to implement continuous intra-arterial infusion of arsenic trioxide for the treatment of inoperable primary liver cancer, a groundbreaking approach with significant clinical impact. Professor Liu has extensive clinical experience and advanced surgical skills in abdominal interventional surgery and minimally invasive surgery, excelling in ultrasound-guided liver biopsies and the treatment of liver diseases. He is also highly proficient in the comprehensive management of abdominal tumors, including innovative treatments for peritoneal mucinous tumors, and in diagnosing and treating complex cases in general surgery.
