OAE Publishing Inc. Partners with Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China to Host Exclusive Author Training Seminar

October 23, 2024 – OAE Publishing Inc. collaborated with the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China to hold an impactful author training seminar, equipping students with the essential tools and knowledge to navigate the academic publishing landscape.

The event was graced by Guofeng Wang, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Mechanical Engineering, and Tangbin Xia, Associate Dean of the School. From OAE Publishing, the seminar saw the participation of Publishing Director Juanjuan Ma, Publisher Haidi Ding, and Marketing Manager Siya Liang.

This seminar aimed to provide students with practical academic skills and critical insights, helping them confidently approach SCI journal submissions and navigate common challenges with expertise and precision.

Associate Dean Xia praised OAE Publishing for its generous support, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in bridging the gap between academia and the publishing industry.

Publisher Haidi Ding introduced OAE’s renowned journal portfolio, including Complex Engineering Systems, and led a session focused on enhancing academic language and manuscript quality.

Juanjuan Ma, Publishing Director at OAE, shared her extensive experience in SCI journal submissions, covering key topics such as selecting impactful research topics, targeting appropriate journals, and preparing manuscripts for submission. She also provided an in-depth overview of the peer review process, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at the publishing journey.

The students actively participated, posing thoughtful questions and engaging in stimulating discussions. By the end of the seminar, they left with a deeper understanding of the manuscript submission and peer review process, empowered with greater confidence and composure, and enhanced clarity in their academic writing.
