The Inaugural Issue of Journal of Smart Environments and Green Computing Officially Released Online

Journal of Smart Environments and Green Computing（JSEGC，ISSN 2767-6595 (Online)）was officially released the inaugural issue at the end of March 2021. Professor Witold Pedrycz, the Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, the Canada Research Chair of computational intelligence,and IEEE Life Fellow, serves as the Editor-in-Chief. This is a gold open access academic journal focusing on forward-looking research achievements in the field of intelligent computing and aiming to provide a broad platform for active discussion and accelerated research in the field of smart, sustainable, green and energy efficient computing.

Witold Pedrycz is a Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada. He is also affiliated with the System Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. He has authored 15 research monographs covering various aspects of computational intelligence, data mining, and software engineering. Prof. Pedrycz was a recipient of the IEEE Canada Computer Engineering Medal, the Cajastur Prize for Soft Computing from the European Center for Soft Computing, the Killam Prize, and the Fuzzy Pioneer Award from the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. He is intensively involved in editorial activities and currently serves as a member of a number of editorial boards of other international journals. He is a Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.

With the great support of Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Pedrycz, the Editorial Office has invited 36 outstanding experts from all over the world in the field of intelligent computing to establish an international and excellent Editorial Board team. Moreover, 14 Editorial Board Members of JSEGC have been listed in "Highly Cited Researchers 2020" by Clarivate Analytics ( https://www.oaepublish.com/news/jsegc.186).
