Special Issue
Topic: Magnetic Digestive Surgery
Guest Editor(s)
Special Issue Introduction
As a new technical discipline, magnetic surgery has attracted the attention of researchers all over the world for its wide application prospects. Some advanced magnetic surgery innovations can greatly simplify the existing surgical procedures, reduce the difficulty of operation, shorten the operation time and improve the therapeutic effect. There are increasingly reports of technological innovations in surgery using magnetic devices, some of which show great superiority.
This Special Issue will discuss the research progress and innovation of magnetic technology in digestive surgery. The topics are include but not limited to:
1. Long Term results of magnetic esophageal sphincter for GERD;
2. Magnetic esophageal sphincter in bariatric patients;
3. When to remove the magnetic esophageal sphincter;
4. Magnetic compression esophageal anastomosis for Atresia Repair;
5. Magnetic compression anastomosis for intestinal side-to-side anastomosis in bariatric and metabolic surgery;
6. Magnetic compression anastomosis in gastro-intestinal obstruction;
7. Update on optimal force of magnetic compression for intestinal anastomosis;
8. Update on Bilio-enteric anastomosis with magnetic compression;
9. Magnetic compression anastomosis for the correction of biliary strictures - A Chinese experience;
10. Concepts of magnetic retraction instruments for laparoscopic digestive surgery;
11. Magnetic-Robotic-Assisted-Surgeries;
12. Magnetic sphincter for anal incontinence - An update.
