Special Issue Introduction

The 4th World Congress of GI Endoscopy (ENDO 2024) is a premier event that brings together leading experts, researchers, and practitioners in the field of gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy. This conference serves as an interdisciplinary platform for exchanging knowledge, techniques, and innovations in this domain, focusing on cutting-edge developments in both theoretical and practical applications. The gathering aims to foster collaboration and advancement in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of GI diseases through endoscopic technologies.

This Special Issue is dedicated exclusively to ENDO 2024, showcasing a curated selection of high-quality papers presented at the congress. We invite participants to submit their research articles to Mini-invasive Surgery (MIS), an esteemed international open-access journal. All submissions will undergo rigorous peer review to ensure the highest standards of scientific excellence, and accepted papers will be published in MIS.

Main Topics for ENDO 2024 Include (but are not limited to):
Innovative Endoscopic Techniques: Advances in endoscopic procedures and technologies, including endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy: New methods for the diagnosis and treatment of GI disorders, including Barrett's esophagus, colorectal cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Minimally Invasive Approaches: Developments in minimally invasive endoscopic techniques that enhance patient outcomes and reduce recovery times.
Artificial Intelligence and Endoscopy: Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven methodologies in endoscopic practice, including automated polyp detection and characterization.
Endoscopic Training and Education: Strategies for improving endoscopic training, simulation, and educational programs for healthcare professionals.
Safety and Quality in Endoscopy: Best practices for ensuring safety and quality in endoscopic procedures, including infection control and patient care protocols.
Emerging Technologies: Exploration of new endoscopic technologies and tools, including advancements in imaging, biopsy, and therapeutic interventions.
Clinical Trials and Research: Findings from recent clinical trials and research studies in GI endoscopy, highlighting innovations and future directions.

We hope this Special Issue will be a valuable resource for gastroenterologists, endoscopists, researchers, and healthcare professionals involved in GI endoscopy. By presenting the latest research and innovations from ENDO 2024, we strive to advance the realm of GI endoscopy and improve patient care worldwide.
