Topic: The Contemporary Management of Cancers of Sinonasal Tract

Sinonasal malignancies make up <5% of all head and neck neoplasms, with an incidence of 0.556 per 100,000 individuals per year. Management of patients with sinonasal cancer is challenging because of their rarity, diverse biologic behavior, and proximity to vital structures such as the eye and the brain. The purpose of this special edition is to provide a contemporary review of the advances in the diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes of patients with sinonasal cancers, including histopathologic classification, imaging, surgical approaches including endoscopic and open surgery, modern conformal radiation therapy, and the emerging role of neoadjuvant and adjuvant systemic therapy including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
