The Editorial Office of Microbiome Research Reports (MRR) is excited to announce that MRR has been officially accepted for inclusion in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI, Web of Science) as of Aug 7, 2024.

Eligibility:

This milestone heralds MRR’s forthcoming inaugural impact factor in June 2025, marking a significant achievement. Articles published from Volume 1, 2022, onwards will be included in the following products:

  • Emerging Sources Citation Index
  • Biological Abstracts
  • BIOSIS Previews

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, and Editorial Board members who have contributed to this journal and helped us reach this achievement. Moving forward, the Editorial Office will continue to follow strict and standard peer review to ensure high-quality publications and strive to develop MRR into a leading scientific journal in microbiome science.

About ESCI:

ESCI was introduced by Thomson Reuters in late 2015 as a new database in Web of Science. At its launch, it included approximately 3,000 periodicals spanning a wide range of subjects. The index has been managed by Clarivate Analytics since 2017. The Emerging Sources Citation Index aims to extend the scope of publications within the Web of Science to include high-quality, peer-reviewed publications. To qualify for coverage, journals must meet the following criteria:

  • Peer-reviewed
  • Adheres to ethical publishing practices
  • Meets technical requirements
  • Includes English-language bibliographic information
  • Recommended or requested by the scholarly audience using the Web of Science

ESCI enhances the visibility of significant research within the Web of Science Core Collection. Therefore, inclusion in ESCI not only elevates the visibility of a journal but also serves as a hallmark of its quality, offering notable benefits to authors.

MRR provides an online platform for sharing research data, new methodology, reviews, and commentaries with a focus on human/animal microbiome. Welcome to submit your high-quality papers to us at:
