Congratulations to AND’s Editorial Board Members on Winning the 11th Shu Lan Medical Youth Award

On December 7, 2024, the 11th "Shu Lan Medical Award" ceremony was held in Hengqin, Guangdong Province, China.

We are delighted to announce that two esteemed Editorial Board members of Ageing and Neurodegenerative Diseases (AND), Professors Qiang Liu and Jintai Yu, have been honored with this prestigious award for their exceptional contributions to neurology. This recognition underscores their dedication and achievements in advancing medical research and clinical practice.

Professor Qiang Liu

Professor Liu from the Department of Neurology at the Institute of Neuroimmunology, Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, Tianjin, China, has made groundbreaking advancements in neuroimmunology. His work has significantly enriched our understanding of the immune system’s role in neurological disorders, influencing future research in this critical area.

Professor Jintai Yu

Professor Yu, Deputy Director at the Department of Neurology and the Institute of Neurology, Huashan Hospital, Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University, Shanghai, China, has led innovative research in neurodegenerative diseases. His efforts have paved the way for new therapeutic strategies, improving patient outcomes and contributing to the advancement of medical science in neurology.

The Shu Lan Medical Youth Award, established by the Shu Lan Foundation in 2014, honors young medical professionals for their remarkable achievements in medical science and healthcare innovation. Recognized as one of the most prestigious accolades in China, the award highlights original, practical advancements in medicine through a rigorous nomination and expert review process.

We are immensely proud of Professors Liu and Yu for receiving this well-deserved recognition. Their success not only reflects their personal dedication and excellence but also highlights the expertise represented on the Editorial Board of AND.
