The 7th Annual Meeting of the Neurodegenerative Disorders Division of Chinese Neuroscience Society
Neurodegenerative diseases represent the forefront and hotspot of current neuroscience research both domestically and internationally. As neuroscience continues to advance, clinical and basic research on neurodegenerative diseases constantly evolves. In order to facilitate the exchange of the latest developments and trends, and to promote extensive communication among domestic and international researchers engaged in basic and clinical research, the Neurodegenerative Diseases Branch of the Chinese Neuroscience Society and the Neuroscience Society of Sichuan Province will host the 7th Annual Meeting of the Neurodegenerative Diseases Branch of the Chinese Neuroscience Society and the 3rd Annual Meeting of the Neuroscience Society of Sichuan Province in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, on December 1-2, 2023.
The main topics of the conference will cover the latest advancements in basic and clinical research on various neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, Parkinson's disease and movement disorders, Huntington's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and more. The focus will be on the early diagnosis and innovative treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, the application of artificial intelligence, neuroinflammatory mechanisms, and epigenetic regulation.

2023 Interventions in Aging Conference
A plethora of genetic, dietary and pharmacological interventions can extend healthy lifespan in laboratory animals, and can delay or ameliorate diverse aging-related diseases. Mechanisms of aging are conserved in evolution, and discoveries made in animals are informing our understanding of human aging. This raises the intriguing possibility of performing preventative medicine against chronic and age-related diseases, by targeting their main risk factor, namely aging. Important current challenges in the field are (1) to understand the downstream pathways by which longevity interventions can combat age-related loss of function and pathology, (2) to evaluate the impact of regenerative interventions and cellular reprogramming on age-related diseases, and (3) to translate the findings into the extension of human health span.
This fourth meeting will continue to explore these topics, with particular emphasis on what we can learn from variations in the rate of ageing in the natural world, mitochondria, cellular senescence, biomarkers and epidemiology, immune aging and reprogramming and rejuvenation strategies.
