Prof. Pierpaolo Sileri graduated summa cum laude at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 1998. He spent 3 years at the University of Illinois at Chicago as fellow and obtained the degree of Master of Surgery at the same University in 2002. He completed his residency in Gastrointestinal Surgery in 2005 at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. From 2003 to 2005 he trained as Specialist Registrar in colorectal Surgery in Oxford. In 2006 he obtained the PhD degree in “Technology, informatics and robotics in Surgery”. Academic Consultant Surgeon at the University of Rome Tor Vergata since 2008. Director of the Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery Master Program at the same University. Authors of more that 100 peer reviewed paper on highly impacted journals, chapters as well as editor of books and society practice guidelines.
