Soft Science, founded in 2021, has distinguished itself as a leading publication in soft systems. The journal’s commitment to publishing rigorous research and innovative studies has earned significant attention within the academic community.

ESCI, part of the Web of Science Group, indexes high-quality research journals that demonstrate regional importance and scholarly influence. The inclusion of Soft Science signifies recognition of the journal’s impact and contribution to advancing knowledge in the broad field of mechanically soft, deformable and deployable materials, devices and systems. The journal will receive its first impact factor in June 2025, and all published papers will be comprehensively indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection. This will greatly enhance the visibility and impact of this journal.

The Editorial Office would like to express sincere gratitude to all the Editorial Board members, authors, reviewers, and readers for their unwavering support and invaluable contributions to Soft Science throughout the years. Looking ahead, Soft Science aims to further expand its reach and amplify its impact through continued publication of insightful research and engagement with scholars worldwide.
