Soft Science 2024 Editorial Board Meeting Successfully Held in Wuhan, China
On September 26, 2024, Soft Science successfully held its 2024 Editorial Board Meeting in Wuhan. The meeting brought together 53 Editorial Board members from various academic disciplines to seek the development of the journal. The agenda focused on three key parts: an overview of the journal's development status, presented by Ms. Xun Nin, Associate Publisher of OAE Publishing Inc.; a keynote speech by Professor YongAn Huang, Editor-in-Chief of the journal from Huazhong University of Science and Technology; and an open forum where Editorial Board members shared valuable insights into the journal’s multidisciplinary perspective and practical applications.
This offline Editorial Board meeting aimed to gather insights for the journal’s growth, reflect on past achievements, and analyze current challenges and opportunities.
During the meeting, Ms. Xun Nin gave a detailed report on the journal’s current progress and future strategic plans.
Professor YongAn Huang, the Editor-in-Chief, analyzed the journal's strengths and areas for improvement from multiple perspectives. Prof. Huang emphasized the importance of maintaining active engagement and collaboration among members to explore new pathways for high-quality development, with the goal of further advancing the journal's academic standards and international impact.
To recognize the outstanding performance of Editorial Board members in 2024, two awards were introduced: the "Outstanding Contribution Award" and the "Special Contribution Award," both presented by Prof. Huang.

The meeting concluded with a free discussion session, during which participants actively exchanged ideas on the journal's advancement, offering numerous forward-thinking suggestions.
