Congratulations to Prof. Richard Simpson from La Trobe University, an Editorial Board member of Extracellular Vesicles and Circulating Nucleic Acids (EVCNA), for receiving the ISEV2024 Special Achievement Award. This prestigious award is presented annually by the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV) to one or more individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field of extracellular vesicle (EV) research or have provided extraordinary service to the society.

Prof. Simpson's research focuses on utilizing an integrated proteomic/genomic strategy directed toward understanding the role of the extracellular environment (specifically, EVs) in cancer progression. His group employs various in vitro and in vivo cancer/EMT models as well as techniques including lipophilic-cell/EV-labeling, cell sorting, state-of-the-art fluorescence microscopy, western immunoblotting, mass spectrometry-based protein profiling for discovery and targeted strategies, and miR/mRNA/lncRNA profiling and qRT-PCR validation.

Once again, congratulations to Prof. Simpson, and we extend our gratitude for his support to the journal as a founding Editorial Board member.
