Prof. Janos Zempleni is affiliated with the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and holds memberships in prestigious organizations such as AAAS, American Society for Nutrition, American Society of Physiology, Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine, Sigma Xi, and Gamma Sigma Delta. His research interests lie in nutritional epigenetics, gene regulation, cell differentiation, and genome stability. His groundbreaking work has revealed that humans absorb microRNAs from animal-derived foods, and this absorption is mediated by endocytosis of exosomes and their microRNA cargo. Since joining the Editorial Board of EVCNA, Prof. Zempleni has played a key role in advancing research employing cell culture, human, and animal models to investigate dietary microRNAs.

Once again, the Editorial Office of Extracellular Vesicles and Circulating Nucleic Acids extends warm congratulations to Prof. Zempleni on his well-deserved promotion and expresses heartfelt gratitude for his unwavering commitment to excellence in extracellular vesicles and microRNA research. We look forward to his continued contributions in his new capacity.
