Warmly Celebrate Editor-in-Chief of Chemical Synthesis Prof. Bao-Lian Su for being Elected as Honorary Fellow of the Chinese Chemical Society

On June 16, 2024, during the 34th Annual Meeting of the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS), an Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony was held at the Porous Materials Division of the CCS for Prof. Bao-Lian Su. Academician Jihong Yu, Vice Director General of CCS, presented the Honorary Fellowship Certificate, and the conferral ceremony was presided over by Prof. Weibin Fan, Director of CCS.

Prof. Bao-Lian Su is an internationally renowned scientist in inorganic material chemistry, known for pioneering the research field of hierarchical porous materials and life composite materials, and revealing the physicochemical laws of hierarchical porous material transport.

Prof. Bao-Lian Su is a tenured professor at the University of Namur, Belgium, a strategic scientist at Wuhan University of Technology, Member of the Royal Belgian Academy of Sciences, Member of the European Academy of Sciences, and the Chairman of the World Association for Mesoscopic Materials. He played a pivotal role in bringing the chemical foundation of synthetic chemistry of Chinese hierarchical porous materials and life composite materials to the world stage, and significantly contributed to the development of key interfacial catalytic materials for China’s petrochemical industry. He has cultivated a number of outstanding chemical talents for China and founded the Discipline Innovation and Intellectual Intelligence Base of “Theory and Application Technology of Life Composite Materials” (“111” Program). He has played an instrumental role in promoting high-level international cooperation and exchanges in chemistry in China.

The Honorary Fellow of the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) is an esteemed title awarded to internationally renowned scholars and experts who have made significant contributions to Chinese chemistry and facilitated exchanges between CCS and international scientific societies. Since 2009, 92 internationally distinguished scientists have been honored with this title.
