Best Paper Award
Eligibility Requirements:
– All papers published in Microstructures will be automatically included.
Selection Criteria:
The best paper will be selected by the Journal Award Committee according to the following criteria:
– Scientific merit and overall impact;
– Originality of the research objectives and/or the ideas presented;
– Creativity of the study design or uniqueness of the approaches and concepts;
– Citation and download metrics.

Awards:
– Number of winners: 2
Prizes:
– $300;
– An official certificate of recognition from the journal;
– The opportunity to publish one peer-reviewed article for free in Microstructures at the end of the award year.
Selection Time:
– At the end of each year, all articles published in the previous year are evaluated.
Student Best Paper Award
Selection Criteria:
The Student Best Paper Award will be determined by the Journal Award Committee based on the following criteria:
– The first author must be a student at the time of submission (a scanned copy of the student ID is required) and under thirty-six years of age;
– The first author must complete the award application by January 15 of the following year, and submit the form to: editorialoffice@microstructj.com;

Criteria for Evaluation
- Academic contribution and innovation;
- Rigor of research and reliability of data;
- Potential for application and practical value;
- Expression and structural integrity of the paper;
- The actual contribution of the student.
Awards:
– Number of winners: 2
Prizes:
– $150;
– An official certificate of recognition from the journal;
– The opportunity to present a 40-minute talk at the Frontiers Forum organized by Microstructures;
– The opportunity to publish one peer-reviewed article for free in Microstructures at the end of the award year.
Selection Time:
– In February each year, all applications from the previous year are evaluated.
Best Reviewer Award
Eligibility Requirements:
– All reviewers for Microstructures will be automatically included.
Selection Criteria:
The best reviewer will be selected by the Journal Award Committee according to the following criteria:
– Number of review reports (only first review reports are considered);
– Review quality as rated in MESAs;
– Review speed.

Best Editor Award
Eligibility Requirements:
– All Associate Editors and Senior Editorial Board Members for Microstructures will be automatically included.
Selection Criteria:
The best Editor will be selected by the Journal Award Committee according to the following criteria:
– Quality, speed and number of manuscript handling;
– Number of published papers in the journal;
– Number of invited manuscripts;
– Contributions such as promoting the journal among peers or at conferences or providing input or feedback regarding journal regulations;

– Quality, speed and participation in peer-review work;
– Contributions such as publicizing and promoting the journal at academic conferences and among peers, or providing suggestions and guidance for the journal development;
