WFEO-CEE (World Federation of Engineering Organizations - Committee on Engineering and the Environment)

About: The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) serves as the host of the WFEO Committee on Engineering and the Environment (WFEO-CEE).

In collaboration with WFEO members and partners, WFEO-CEE aims to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by:

  • Harnessing the leading role of “environmental engineering technology, application, and demonstration” in promoting sustainable development, with a particular focus on SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and supporting SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), and SDG 15 (Life on Land), which demonstrate WFEO-CEE’s responsibility and contribution to global sustainable development in the field of engineering and the environment.
  • Establishing a professional platform to facilitate effective communication among WFEO members and to promote technical research findings and engineering practices that contribute to environmental sustainability on a global scale.
  • Providing extensive opportunities for global engineers, technical professionals, governments, and civil societies to engage in idea exchanges, collaboration, research, and capacity building, thus fostering the advancement of theories, technological innovation, and engineering practices in the field of engineering and the environment.

World Conference on Climate Change & Sustainability

About: Climate Week 2022 will be bringing together a range of key actors from institutions, governments, cities and communities, the private sector, and civil society, including youth movements, from all over the world, to make the world more climate-resilient. This Meet is a distinctive opportunity for participants to hear directly from environmental and climate justice leaders about regeneration in action. This conference is a step towards empowering decision-makers and energy stakeholders to join forces and proactively address the challenges of climate change so that actual progress can be achieved. By bringing together researchers who are working on topics relevant to climate change and environmental sustainability to share their latest accomplishments and research findings, voices can be amplified, and actions towards a more resilient, livable, sustainable future taken. Join us for three intensive and interesting days of discussing contemporary challenges and new advancements in climate change.
