In November, Carbon Footprints became the member of the Committee on Publication Ethics and announced its partnership with ResearchGate.

In April, Carbon Footprints' First Online Editorial Board meeting was successfully held.

In December, The inaugural issue of Carbon Footprints was officially released online in December 2022.
