Bio
Dr. Haris Ishaq is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Research Associate in the Institute for Integrated Energy Systems (IESVic) at University of Victoria, Canada. He received MASc and PhD degrees from Ontario Tech University, Canada. He was also honored with Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award. His core research interests include Systems Engineering, Chemical and Process Engineering, Sustainable Energy Systems, Energy Conservation, Energy Engineering, Integrated Energy Systems, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, Clean Energy, Direct Air Capture (DAC), Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS), Renewable Energy, Hydrogen, Ammonia, Zero and Low-Carbon Fuels, Synthetic Fuels, e-fuels, Technoeconomic Analysis (TEA) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). He has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles, conference papers, patent, book chapters, and Elsevier book (Renewable Hydrogen Production). Dr. Haris was honored by Best Researcher Award by National Hydrogen Technologies Association, Turkey. He is currently leading a research group working on a number of multidisciplinary research projects in the defined research areas.
