Bio
Dr. Jiahai Yuan is a professor at the School of Economics and Management, North China Electric Power University since 2016. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) during 2011-2012. His research interests focus on energy economics and policy, power system modeling, energy system transition, and related just transition issues.
He has authored/co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed journal papers and is indexed as the 2020 to 2022 Scopus most cited Chinese researchers. Since 2014, Professor Yuan has published a series of influential policy reports on China’s power sector that attract wide attention from policymakers and the media.
