Bio
Jiawei Chen received a Ph. D degree in geochemistry from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in 2002. Following two years of postdoctoral training at Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academic of Science, where he worked on supercritical CO2 fluids and water-rock interaction. He is a professor of the School of Earth Sciences and Resources, China University of Geosciences (Beijing) since 2012. He focuses on environmental implications and applications of nanotechnology, including nano zero-valent iron fundamental and application, remediation of contaminated water and soils, fate and transport of hazardous substances, etc. He also pays more attention to the application of biochar in soil and water. He has published more than 100 peer-review papers. He won ‘New Century Excellent Talents in University’ (Chinese Ministry of Education, 2007), ‘Mckee Groundwater Protection, Restoration or Sustainable Use Award’ (Water Environment Federation, 2020), etc..
