Bio
Giusy Lofrano got her Ph.D. Environmental Engineering in 2007 at Salerno University. Actually, she is a researcher at the University of Rome Foro Italico and got the National Qualification as Associate Professor. She has over 15 years of post-graduate experience in Environmental protection and Restoration Technologies. She has been involved in many international and national projects as an investigator. In 2006 she has worked as visiting researcher at the Department of Marine Science of Aegean University (Mytilini, Greece) in the framework of a Researcher Exchange Program within the context of a Bilateral Project Italy-Greece. She collaborated with the Department of Environment in Salerno Province and the District Authority of the Southern Apennines as a consultant scientist. In 2014, she was visiting researcher at Namik Kemal University (Tekirdag, Turkey), and in 2015 at LIEC-CNR (Metz, France). She has been a Contract Professor of Wastewater Management at Padova University, Environmental Impact Assessment and Waste Management at Salerno University, and Hygiene at the University of Sannio. She is enrolled on editorial boards of several International Journals and she is the Editor of three books dealing with the application of advanced oxidation processes for wastewater treatment and nanomaterials, published by Springer Verlag. She has acted as a peer-reviser and panelist in the evaluation of many Research and Technology Development projects (EU and national) and papers. She is an authors and co-author of more than 100 publications in the field of environmental engineering and science.
