Jie Wang received his Ph.D. from Peking University in 2015. Following three years of postdoctoral training at the University of California, Riverside, where he worked on the bioavailability of hydrophobic organic contaminants. Now Dr. Wang is an Associate Professor of Environmental Science at China Agricultural University, Beijing, China. His research includes the interaction between microplastics and organic contaminants, passive sampling and bioaccessibility of hydrophobic organic contaminants, the microbial responses under environmental stresses, and the characteristics of the plastisphere. As the corresponding author, he has published approximately 30 peer-reviewed articles in ES&T, ES&T Letters, Water Res, Environ Intern, J Hazard Matter, etc., with 3 ESI Highly Cited Papers. He is also an editorial board member of Science of The Total Environment.
