Cover Picture: The paper proposes a methodology to enhance the resilience and security of critical infrastructures (CIs) by addressing interdependencies between security goals and subsystems within a CI. The approach includes a context-independent Reference Model for Information Assurance and Security, applicable across sectors, and a formal language for verifying security goal fulfillment in solution architectures. This methodology, designed for integration into an open-source toolchain, promotes automation, interoperability, and improved governance to strengthen CI security and adaptability against evolving threats.
