Topic: Innovative Technologies for Pollution Control and Environmental Remediation

The increasing population, industrial development, and urbanization expansion have escalated concerns surrounding water pollution, treatment, and management. Nowadays, "new" pollutants pose a significant challenge as existing technologies struggle to effectively eliminate these substances, leading to potentially severe consequences for both the aquatic environment and human health. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop innovative water purification and wastewater treatment technologies to ensure environmental and economic sustainability.

This Special Issue is dedicated to exploring "Chemical oxidation/advanced oxidation processes (AOP) for pollution control and environmental remediation." Its focus is on presenting cutting-edge, ongoing research that contributes to the innovative development and field application of chemical oxidation and AOPs in environmental contexts and for reuse purposes. Priority topics covered in this Special Issue include, but are not limited to: i) chemical oxidation and design of AOPs; ii) novel materials; iii) new catalysts; iv) pilot trials; v) development of new processes; vi) mechanisms; vii) applications in wastewater treatment and air purification.
