Special Issue Introduction

Reconstructive rhinoplasty has undergone significant advancements in recent years, driven by innovations in surgical techniques, enhanced understanding of nasal anatomy, and the development of new technologies. As a complex procedure that not only restores nasal function but also aims to improve aesthetic outcomes, reconstructive rhinoplasty remains a critical field in both aesthetic and functional medicine. This Special Issue highlights the latest research and clinical practices that are shaping the future of nasal reconstruction.

Contributions to this issue focus on a wide array of developments, from novel surgical approaches that optimize outcomes to the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as 3D imaging and computer-assisted planning tools. We explore the evolving techniques for managing post-traumatic deformities, congenital malformations, and revision rhinoplasty cases, emphasizing individualized treatment strategies and the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration. Advances in grafting techniques, including the use of autologous tissues and synthetic materials, also feature prominently, demonstrating how these innovations contribute to improved functional and aesthetic results.

This issue aims to provide both clinicians and researchers with a comprehensive overview of the most current advances in the field, offering insights that will guide future studies and clinical practices to continue improving outcomes in this highly specialized area of surgery.
