Topic: Hypertrophic and Keloid Scars: New Insights and Treatments

Hypertrophic and keloid scars are significant clinical challenges that greatly impact patients' quality of life, causing substantial physical and psychological burdens. These pathological scars remain therapeutically challenging due to their complex pathophysiology and resistance to conventional therapies. Recent advances in our understanding of the interplay between mechanical stress, inflammation, and fibrosis have paved the way for the development of promising novel therapeutic strategies.

Various approaches, ranging from conservative management to surgical interventions, have been established. However, there remains a pressing need for innovative treatments, including molecularly targeted drugs and cellular therapies. This Special Issue focuses on the latest insights, therapeutic innovations, and future perspectives in the management of hypertrophic and keloid scars. We welcome submissions that advance our understanding of these challenging conditions, ranging from basic research to clinical applications.
