Topic: Renewable Power Generation, Energy Storage, and Resource Management Challenges and Solutions

Harnessing the immense power of renewable energy sources has become urgent in our quest for a sustainable future. Renewable power is rapidly advancing to meet climate de-carbonization. However, the challenge lies in efficiently capturing and storing this energy to meet the ever-strengthened demands of the world. Therefore, we establish this Special Issue titled “Renewable Power Generation, Energy Storage, and Resource Management Challenges and Solutions” to discuss different objective functions, renewable energy resources, and solution tools. Additionally, the research directions and related issues to be considered in future microgrid scheduling studies can be discussed. The topic to be covered include, but are not limited to:
● Key Grid Energy Storage Technologies: Thermal Storage/Batteries/Pumped Hydroelectric Storage/Hydrogen;

● Micro-grid systems for renewable power generation units;

● Grid interconnection/heuristic algorithms for renewable power generation systems;

● Optimal operation/environmental cost of renewable power generation;

● Advances in power generation technologies;

● Energy storage: Grid-scale storage and network planning/System balancing - technology suitability/Connection process/Vehicle-to-grid charging.
