Special Issue Introduction

This Special Issue focuses on recent discoveries and advancements in understanding the molecular mechanisms that drive breast cancer metastasis and drug resistance. By leveraging multi-omics approaches, including genomics, epigenomics, proteomics, and transcriptomics, we aim to elucidate the key regulatory pathways involved, identify novel biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis, and explore innovative targeted therapy strategies to overcome resistance.

We invite submissions in various formats, including Original Articles, Reviews, Meta-Analyses, Systematic Reviews, Technical Notes, Commentaries, Editorials, Letters to the Editor, Opinions, and Perspectives, covering but not limited to the following topics:

● Comprehensive genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic profiling of metastatic breast cancer;

● Mechanisms underlying drug resistance in breast cancer treatment;

● Epigenetic modifications and their role in metastasis and therapeutic resistance;

● Molecular signatures for early detection, prognosis, and therapy selection;

● Tumor microenvironment and its influence on metastatic progression and drug response;

● Novel therapeutic targets and strategies to overcome treatment resistance;

● Immunogenomic and immunotherapy advancements in metastatic breast cancer;

● The role of cancer stem cells in breast cancer progression and resistance;

● Translational research and precision medicine approaches in breast cancer therapy;

● Mendelian randomization and its application in understanding causal relationships in breast cancer metastasis and drug resistance.
