Special Issue
Topic: Recent Research Progress and Application of Porous Organic Materials
Guest Editor(s)
Special Issue Introduction
Porous organic materials are a series of noble emerging porous materials that have attracted growing research interest because of their tunable structures, high specific surface areas and low densities. Many porous organic materials have been developed such as hypercrosslinked polymers (HCPs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), and conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs). These materials hold great potential in many applications, such as gas adsorption/separation, heterogeneous catalysis, chemical sensing and water treatment. Current research efforts focus on developing large-scale/simple synthesis strategies and exploring their potential applications. Thus, this Special Issue aims to highlight recent progress in the broad interdisciplinary areas of porous organic materials and their applications.
Specific areas to be covered include, but are not limited to:
● Porous organic polymers, such as CMPs, HCPs, and COFs;
● Porous organic molecular materials, including porous organic cages (POCs) and hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs);
● Porous organic membranes;
● Applications for porous organic materials in adsorption, catalysis, energy storage, separation, etc.
