Special Issue Introduction

Photocatalysis, the process of using light energy to drive chemical reactions, has emerged as a transformative technology with diverse applications in organic synthesis, energy conversion, and environmental remediation. This Special Issue aims to showcase the latest research developments, methodologies, and applications in this rapidly evolving field.

Recent years have witnessed unprecedented growth in photocatalysis, fueled by advances in materials science, catalysis, and spectroscopic techniques. Researchers worldwide have made significant strides in designing and synthesizing novel photocatalysts, elucidating reaction mechanisms, and exploring new applications. From photocatalytic organic transformations to sustainable energy production and environmental cleanup, photocatalysis promises to be a sustainable and efficient technology for addressing pressing societal challenges.

This Special Issue features original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that highlight recent breakthroughs and emerging trends in photocatalysis.
