Prof. YongAn Huang of Huazhong University of Science and Technology Appointed as the New Editor-in-Chief of Soft Science!

We are pleased to announce that Professor YongAn Huang from Huazhong University of Science and Technology has been appointed as our new Editor-in-Chief. Additionally, we welcome our new Associate Editors: Professor Jun Chen from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Professor Guoying Gu from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Junwei Gu from Northwestern Polytechnical University, and Professor Liqiang Mai from Wuhan University of Technology. We believe their combined expertise and vision will usher Soft Science into a new era of academic excellence.

First and foremost, we express our deepest gratitude to the previous editorial team for their outstanding contributions. In particular, we sincerely thank the founding Editor-in-Chief, Professor Zhifeng Ren, and founding Editors Cunjiang Yu and Chuanfei Guo. Their dedication and hard work have laid a solid foundation for the continued growth and success of Soft Science. We are profoundly grateful for their service and commitment to excellence.

Prof. YongAn Huang
Prof. YongAn Huang is a recipient of the National Excellent Youth Fund and works at the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering and the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment and Technology at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He established the 'Flexible Electronics Manufacturing Team', which focuses on wearable electronics, smart skins for aircraft, and electronic skins for robots. His team also researches manufacturing processes and equipment, such as high-precision printing, laser transfer printing, and conformal manufacturing.

Dr. Jun Chen is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2016, followed by postdoctoral studies at Stanford University. His current research focuses on soft matter innovation for novel bioelectronics. With a current h-index of 112, he was identified as one of the world's most influential researchers in materials science by Web of Science.

Dr. Guoying Gu is a Professor of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He was a Humboldt Fellow with the University of Oldenburg, Germany and a Visiting Scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, National University of Singapore and Concordia University. His research interests include soft robotics, bioinspired and wearable robots, smart materials sensing, actuation and motion control.

Prof. Junwei Gu is the Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University. He is a national leading talent and recipient of the Shaanxi Provincial Distinguished Youth Science Fund. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Royal Aeronautical Society, and the Institute of Materials, Minerals, and Mining. He has been listed as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics and a Highly Cited Chinese Researcher by Elsevier.

Prof. Liqiang Mai is the Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Wuhan University of Technology. He is a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He was also recognized as a Highly Cited Chinese Author by the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics. He was selected for the National Ten Thousand Talent Program and was awarded the honorary title "Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions".

The Editorial Board firmly believes that under Professor Huang's leadership, Soft Science will achieve significant advancements in academic quality and promote global exchange and collaboration among researchers in flexible science. We are eager to work with Prof. Huang and the entire editorial team to jointly elevate Soft Science into a premier international journal in the field.
