Welcome Professor Wingkei Ho as the Editor-in-Chief for the New Journal Photocatalysis
We are pleased to announce that on March 22, 2021, Professor Wingkei Ho from The Education University of Hong Kong, China was appointed the Editor-in-Chief of the new journal Photocatalysis.
Photocatalysis is an international, peer-reviewed journal that will publish the original, novel, and high-quality contributions from many different scientific areas including chemistry, materials science, chemical and materials engineering, environmental engineering, nanotechnology, green chemistry, etc.
Professor Ho received his BSc and PhD in chemistry from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, China, and was awarded post-doctoral fellowships in Hong Kong, China and Canada. He has wide research interests, including environmental remediation, nanotechnology, solar photocatalysis, air pollution control, indoor air quality and science education. He has had over 175 papers published in international journals, which have been cited about 21,000 times with an h-index of 75. He has been granted more than 10 patents in Europe, Hong Kong, the mainland in China and the US for his research in air purification and disinfection technology.
Professor Ho earned the honour of being ranked in the list of "Highly Cited Researchers" (2018, 2019 and 2020) among the world's top researchers from Clarivate Analytics. In addition, Professor Ho was listed in the "Stanford University's list of the world's top 2% of scientists" among the nearly seven million scholars in the world, from a study released by Stanford University in 2020, according to the information provided by Scopus (covering total citation number, H-index, etc.). Based on publications, he was ranked 233 (career-long) and 49 (2019) among the 32198 scientists in the field of physical chemistry (one of 176 sub-areas).
The Editorial Office of Photocatalysis highly appreciate Professor Ho's support and will work jointly to build the journal into a high-level journal with international influence. We believe that with the joint efforts of Professor Ho and all members of the Editorial Board and the Editorial Office, this goal will be achieved in the near future.
