From November 3 to 5, 2024, the "Chemical Synthesis Seminar on Organometallic Chemistry" and the inaugural "Jiangsu Summit Forum on Synthetic Chemistry" were successfully convened at Nanjing University in Nanjing, China. Organized by Chemical Synthesis and the Jiangsu Society of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the event was co-hosted by the university's School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the State Key Laboratory of Coordination Chemistry, the Chemistry and Biomedicine Innovation Center (ChemBIC), and the Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Advanced Organic Materials. Centered on the theme "Organometallic Chemistry: Structures, Reactions, and Mechanisms," the seminar brought together 13 renowned experts in the field from various regions.

The opening ceremony was elegantly led by Professor Jin Xie of Nanjing University. It featured a series of insightful speeches, including remarks from Professor Bao-Lian Su, an esteemed member of the European Academy of Sciences and the Belgian Royal Academy of Sciences, and Editor-in-Chief of Chemical Synthesis. Professor Chengjian Zhu, Party Secretary of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Nanjing University, also shared his perspectives, setting the stage for a highly engaging event.
