Celebrating the Successful Third Editorial Board Meeting of Chemical Synthesis

On February 18, 2025, Chemical Synthesis (CS, ISSN: 2769-5247) successfully hosted its Third Editorial Board Meeting at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The meeting gathered the journal’s editorial board members to share their collective expertise and offer strategic insights for shaping the future direction of CS.

The event was organized into two key sessions: morning academic presentations and an afternoon editorial board meeting. A total of 26 attendees were present on-site, while 90 joined online. The meeting commenced with opening remarks from Academician Bao-Lian Su, Editor-in-Chief of CS, and Mr. Min Fan, CEO of OAE Publishing Inc. Both emphasized the journal’s remarkable progress and outlined the objectives for the discussions that followed.

Morning Session: Academic Presentations

From 8:30 AM to noon, a series of thought-provoking presentations were delivered by eight editorial board members from leading institutions. The speakers provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in their respective fields:

• Researcher Yuefeng Liu (Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences)
• Researcher Xinchen Kang (Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences)
• Prof. Yong Liu (Wuhan University of Technology)
• Prof. Yuanbin Zhang (Zhejiang Normal University)
• Prof. Lilong Dang (Luoyang Normal University)
• Researcher Guangyan Qing (Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences)

The morning session provided a dynamic exchange of cutting-edge research, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among the scientific community.

Afternoon Session: Editorial Board Meeting

At 3:00 PM, the editorial board reconvened for a focused discussion on the journal’s future direction. The session followed this structure:

1.Welcome Address—Delivered by Academician Bao-Lian Su, Editor-in-Chief of CS.
2.Self-Introductions—Participating experts introduced themselves.
3.Publishing Philosophy and Achievements of OAE Publishing Inc. —Presented by Juanjuan Ma, Publishing Director of OAE Publishing Inc.
4.Chemical Synthesis Work Report—Delivered by Siqing Hu, Managing Editor of CS.
5.Open Discussion – Editorial board members engaged in a free discussion session.

Welcome Address

Academician Bao-Lian Su, Editor-in-Chief of CS, opened the meeting by warmly welcoming all attendees. He expressed deep appreciation for the hard work and dedication of each editorial board member, highlighting that the journal’s success is a direct result of their collective effort. He encouraged everyone to share their insights and collaborate on strategies to foster the journal’s continued growth. He expressed confidence that, with the editorial board’s combined efforts, CS will continue to thrive.

Mr. Min Fan, CEO of OAE Publishing Inc., followed with a speech recognizing the journal’s achievements and outlining his vision for its future. He emphasized the importance of the meeting and reaffirmed OAE Publishing Inc.’s commitment to providing an excellent platform for global researchers. He expressed optimism that the journal’s growth will continue with the joint efforts of the OAE team and the editorial board.

Each attending expert introduced themselves and provided an in-depth overview of their research areas and interests, laying a solid foundation for future scholarly exchanges and potential collaborations.

Publishing Philosophy and Achievements of OAE Publishing Inc.

Juanjuan Ma, Publishing Director of OAE Publishing Inc., presented the company's publishing philosophy and achievements. She highlighted OAE’s commitment to high-quality academic publishing and its mission to provide a platform that supports global researchers in disseminating their work. She underscored the company’s significant strides in building a reputation for excellence in academic publishing, with a strong focus on innovation and the continuous advancement of research communication.

Journal Work Report

Siqing Hu, Managing Editor of CS, provided a detailed report on the journal's current development status and future plans. The report gave the editorial board a comprehensive overview of the journal’s progress, leaving them confident in its future trajectory.

Open Discussion Session

The editorial board members engaged in an active and constructive discussion about the journal's future development, offering valuable ideas and suggestions. They expressed their unwavering commitment to supporting the journal's growth. As the discussion concluded, the meeting ended on a positive note, with attendees capturing a memorable group photo.
