About: TROGSS - The Robotic Global Surgical Society is an intercontinental professional society dedicated to "Advancing Robotic Surgery and Education, for Our Patients, by Our Surgeons." Although it began in 2021 as the robotic surgery chapter of TUGSS - The Upper Gastrointestinal Surgical Society, in 2024, TROGSS became an independent surgical society officially registered in France and with members on both hemispheres of the planet, with representation from all surgical specialties, in which robotic systems are utilized to enhance patient care. TROGSS is dedicated to surgeons in practice, surgical trainees (fellows, residents, interns, registrars) and medical students interested in surgery around the world who are passionate about robotic surgery and education along with their interaction with artificial intelligence and extended (augmented and virtual) reality at all levels of expertise. The worldwide TROGSS community comprises members from almost every continent and with a common vision and goal: to be of service to our patients and to educate ourselves to become the best surgeons that we can be with robotics as one of the multiple tools that we have learned to embrace and promote. TROGSS conducts various collaborative, interactive and academic activities, which include well-attended general assembly meetings, multi-centric research study protocols, mentorship programs, virtual and in-person educational conferences and symposia, professional collaborations, service and outreach initiatives, as well as numerous other projects such as the TROGSS Intercontinental Training Program for well-rounded applicants. TROGSS maintains a safe, respectful, and dynamic environment where lifelong friendship is forged and where members proudly serve on eight Committees (Research 1, Research 2, Education, Fellowship Training, Communications & Social Media, Membership & Engagement, Youth, and Medical Students), the Robotic Time Zone (RTZ) Task Force, and the Ambassadors’ Club.
