Dr. Saif Uddin received his PhD in remote sensing applications. He is a Senior Research Scientist at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, Kuwait, Honorary Director, Center for Environmental Pollution, Climate & Ecology (CEPCE), ATINER, Greece and Adjunct Professor at Environmental Solutions Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom.
Dr. Saif made outstanding contribution to radioecology, in particular to polonium in marine matrixes. His work in the field of radioecology and contaminant turnaround is widely recognized. His research activities cover: (1) Polonium and radioactive lead in environment; (2) polonium dose estimates due to ingestion and losses due to cooking; (3) bioconcentration of polonium in aerosols; (4) microplastic in environmental matrixes; (5) size fractionated microplastic in aerosol; (6) microbial forms in aerosol, especially in the inhalable and respirable fractions. He has published more than 130 scientific papers in high impact journals such as Chemosphere, Marine Pollution Bulletin, PLOSone, Quaternary Geochronology, etc.
