Bio
Prof. Jun Xu received his PhD (2007) from the Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He has been a visiting scholar at Cardiff University (UK) and the University of Lille (France). Since 2014, he is a professor at the Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics (now Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology, CAS), where he is the director of the division of NMR for materials and chemistry. He received the Chinese zeolite prize for young scientists. He served as editors for Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, Magnetic Resonance Letter, and Chemical Research in Chinese Universities.

Prof. Xu’s research interests are focused on the development of advanced solid-state NMR methods and techniques and their applications to heterogeneous catalysis including the characterization of active sites and elucidation of reaction mechanism over zeolites and zeotype catalysts. He has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications in Nat. Catal., Nat. Commun., Chem. Soc. Rev., Acc. Chem. Res., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Chem. Sci., ACS Catal., etc. and one book published by Springer-Verlag.
Research Interests
solid-state NMR method, in-situ technique, hyperpolarization-enhanced NMR spectroscopy, structural characterization of zeolites and zeotype materials, reaction mechanism over zeolites, catalytic conversion of light alkanes, alcohols and biomass.
