Bio
Prof. Feng Shi is a distinguished Professor of Jiangsu Normal University.

She received her Master’s degree at Jiangsu Normal University in 2004 and then worked at this university as a lecturer. She became an Associate Professor in 2010 at Jiangsu Normal University and got her Ph.D. degree in 2013 at Soochow University under the supervision of Prof. Shu-Jiang Tu and Prof. Liu-Zhu Gong. During this period, she spent half a year to work as a visiting scholar in the group of Prof. Teck-Peng Loh at Nanyang Technological University. She started her independent career from 2013 and was appointed to a Full Professor at Jiangsu Normal University in 2015.

Her research interests focus on organocatalytic asymmetric reactions for the construction of chiral heterocyclic frameworks, especially chiral indole scaffolds. She has published over 120 papers as a corresponding author on peer-reviewed international journals such as Acc. Chem. Res., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chin. J. Chem., ACS Catal., Org. Lett., Chem. Commun., Adv. Synth. Catal. and J. Org. Chem. She has received many honors and awards, such as “Thieme Chemistry Journal Award”, “The 11th Asian Core Program (ACP) Lectureship Award”, “Outstanding Youth Funds of Jiangsu Province”, “Natural Science Award of Jiangsu Province” and “Natural Science Award of Chinese Ministry of Education”.
