Bio
Prof. Xiaoxin Zou is a director of Department of Inorganic Chemistry.

He obtained his PhD degree in inorganic chemistry from Jilin University, China in 2011; and then moved to the University of California, Riverside, and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, as a postdoctoral scholar from July 2011 to October 2013. After returning to State Key Laboratory of Inorganic Synthesis and Preparative Chemistry, Jilin University, he became an associate professor in 2013 and a full professor from 2018 to now. He was funded by Yong Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by CAST in 2016, Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation in 2018, “Pang-Xu” Education Foundation in 2018 and National Natural Science Foundation of China for Outstanding Young Scholars in 2019.

He has published more than 80 SCI papers in J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem., Adv. Mater., Energy Environ. Sci., Adv. Funct. Mater. etc. with more than 16000 citations and also is a coordinator and a principal leader of more than 10 research and collaborative projects.

Prof. Zou’s current research fields include the computation-driven structural design/engineering of catalysts, the synthetic chemistry of interstitial intermetallic catalysts and iridium-based electrocatalysts, and the synthetic innovation of industrial electrocatalysts.
