Prof. Qianjun He earned his PhD in 2010 from the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was then assigned as an Assistant Professor there. He received a Marie Curie Fellowship and moved to the University of Leeds in 2012. After two years, he joined the Laboratory of Molecular Imaging and Nanomedicine, National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, National Institutes of Health, as a postdoc. In 2015, he joined Shenzhen University as a Full Professor and the Chief of the Lab of Advanced Nanomedicine. He received Top-Class President Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011, LU JiaXi Youth Talent Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012, Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship in 2012, and Oversea High-Caliber Personnel in 2015.

Prof. He’s current research focuses on the engineering and development of intelligent biomaterials and nanomedicines for gas therapy of cancer and various inflammation-related diseases. He has published more than 100 SCI papers on Science Advances, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Angewandte Chemie, Biomaterials, National Science Review, Chemical Society Reviews, etc. with more than 10000 citations and an H-index of 51, and was selected as a “Highly Cited Researchers” by Clarivate.
